From the freeform dancer to multi-genre Selector, Marcus Hosts SALON This Weekend

If you’ve spent any time on the dancefloor at SOUL OF SYDNEY over the last decade, chances are you’ve felt the infectious energy of Marcus. Always front and centre, moving with pure joy and connection, he’s been part of our community since the early days, a freeform dancer whose passion for music radiates through every step & just about everything he does man. Over the years, we’ve watched him grow in his craft (and love for music) digging into everything from HOUSE, DISCO, FUNK & SOUL vibes .. We are excited to see now, he’s stepping over to the other side of the decks, DJing & hosting an all-day music and creative gathering that brings together an dope mix of talent at SALON #04 at Club 77 this weekend.

SALON is a back-to-back celebration with 16 DJs across genres, each delivering a unique 30-minute set. It’s not just about music — it’s a place for creatives to meet, connect, and share ideas. Marcus kicks things off at 2PM sharp with a set that’s as eclectic as it is energetic, before taking on MC duties for the rest of the event.

Expect a journey through sounds from Teddy Pendergrass, Omar Souleyman, Major Lazer, Saliah, Barbara Tucker, Uncle Waffles, Kendrick Lamar and more.

💵 $10 at the door (includes free entry after to Simon Caldwell and Mike Who) who will be playing afterwards.

This is a special one for us, a chance to support a friend who has grown alongside our community and is now creating his own space for connection and creativity.
