Eastside FM celebrates 30 years of broadcasting this year (The Groovescooter Show has been on-air there for half that time) and so the return of the station’s Global Rhythms Festival is bigger than ever. With two of our favourite bands headlining – Ethiopian soul-funk hard-hitter Dereb The Ambassador and Lloyd Swantons‘ catholics – it will be a great day of dancing in the park. Besides the terrific music, there are international food stalls and MetroScreen‘s United Nations of Film, plus, if you ride your bike there, we’ll valet park it for you.
