Disco/Nu-Disco: S.W.A.T (Soul With A Twist) presents: Flatwound- Tickle Me Disco 12″, includes remixes by Jamie Lloyd, Tal M Klein, Diesler

[tweetmeme source=”soulofsydney” only_single=false]Sydney music collective and party posse S.W.A.T (Soul With A Twist) are set to launch their highly anticipated debut 12″(yes, a vinyl record) and Digi release ‘Tickle Me Disco‘ by local Disco outfit Flatwound.

Mighty remixes by local and International King Pins Jamie Lloyd (Future Classic), Tal M Klein (Aniligital) and Diesler (Tru Thoughts), which are set on a course for dance floor destruction.

Fresh from blasting the Hills at Peats Ridge Festival over the New Years period, Jack Prest and Chris Soulos bring us the raw, sweaty disco outfit that is Flatwound. With a funk inspired disco sound that straddles the divide between “George Duke and Daft Punk”. The pair proudly occupy the murky waters where funk, disco and house merge, bringing heat in the form of spacey, French house sounds, slamming 80’s boogie and disco funk, all informed by their Hip-Hop and Latin Jazz roots.

With spots at Playground Weekender Festival 2010, plus a release tour encompassing Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. 2010 looks set to be a big year for this act with the full album release to follow shortly.
