Australia has its first ever DMC World Champion, and it’s a Sydney DJ! BEASTMODE took out The Open at the 2025 Technics DMC World DJ Championship in Tokyo, marking a massive moment for DJ culture down under.

From Sydney’s turntablism scene to the world stage, this win shows the talent, creativity, and dedication coming out of Australia. Seeing a homegrown DJ rise to the top is a huge boost for the local scene and inspiration for the next generation of DJs.
