So we are slowly working on a mix-tape loosely themed “Funk from Another Planet”

We will be dropping a collection of some of the spaced out soul & funk cuts that simply don’t played enough… you know the kind.. the kind of jam you need to dim the lights to enjoy properly.

Here is a few that might make it on;

Wah Wah Watson – Goo Goo Waa Waa

Funkadelic – Maggot Brain

Bootsy Collins – Munchies For Your Love

STEVE MILLER BAND – FLY LIKE AN EAGLE

Cymande – Dove

JEAN MICHEL JARRE. OXYGENE 4.

May this too if we can fit it in.

SOUL and FUNK Music That Should be Played in the Sunshine #1: Cymande – Dove (1972)

A top of 33 degrees today in Sydney, so though we should drop some more of that Soul music that should be played outdoors in tribute to that Sydney Sunshine. ย This oneโ€™s by funk power house Cymande from their 1972 self-titled release. Special thanks to Tom Crown @ Good Groove Records many years ago for putting me on to this one. ย Defiantly one of the gemโ€™s in the music collection.
