Our good friends over at The Sydney Soul Weekender kick off this weekend over 3 days to celebrate all things Northern Soul with storming up-tempo classics, soulful Crossover and lush Modern played exclusively from vinyl by some of our favorite local and internal selectors.

29 August – Captain Cook Hotel, 162 Flinders Street, Surry Hills

30 August – Spectrum at the Exchange Hotel, 34 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst

31 August – Hive Bar, 93 Erskineville Rd, Erskineville

Northern Soul’s legacy as first independent dance music scene is undisputed and always remained unchanged in its values – it’s simply about having a good time dancing the night away to those records made by American Soul artists who were often as obscure as the vinyl they produced.
