RASHIDA LIVE ON JJJ MIX UP (STREAMING ON DEMAND TILL NEXT SATURDAY)
Rashida’s love for playing music that she loves is infectious.
So much so that that after Prince saw her spin records in 2004 at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, Prince invited her to play for him. Fast forward to now, and Rashida‘s been travelling with him every since.
In 2010 she began touring with Kelis, travelling the world over as her DJ.
Currently in town as part of the travelling Prince party, she came into triple j to record her signature fusion of hip-hop, funk, soul, dancehall, pop, rock, and house live.

ANZAC Day, April 25th marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during WWI.
We though it would be fitting to select songs that pay respect to solders efforts and also help us to better understand the struggles of a soldiers of the battle field.
