AUSSIE HIP HOP OUT FIT BLISS N ESO TO HEADLINE RED BULL X-FIGHTERS THIS SATURDAY
The eyes of the action sports world turn to Australia as Red Bull X-Fighters returns to Sydney Harbour on Cockatoo Island on Saturday, 6 October, with local Sydney trio Bliss n Eso taking stage as the headline entertainment.
The Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour pits the best freestyle motocross (FMX) riders from around the globe in a competition of skill and progression as they vie for the richest purse in the history of the sport.
From the glittering beaches of Dubai, to the homeland of freestyle motocross in the Southern California foothills, to the history-steeped Neuschwanstein Castle of Germany, the competition will reach its climactic end on Saturday 6th October at Sydney’s Cockatoo Island. More than 6,500 tonnes of dirt has been shipped over to mold an impressive track, fit for only the world’s best FMX riders.
ARIA Award winning hip-hop act Bliss n Eso will supercharge the stage with their unique blend of beats and lyrics to the energetic crowd, over two sets to open and close the event.
No stranger to action sports, the hip hop crew are strong supporters of the field with their film clip for ‘Coastal Kids’ featuring current defending Red Bull X-Fighters Sydney winner Josh Sheehan (AUS), Kiwi kid Levi Sherwood (NZ) and fan favourites Robbie ‘Maddo’ Maddison (AUS) and Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams (AUS).
"We are stoked to have been invited to perform at Red Bull X-Fighters this year at Cockatoo Island; we have a lot of mates who will be riding and hanging out at the event and we can’t wait to get out on the track for this one of a kind performance", said MC ESO.
The concert is free to all ticketholders and will add to the event’s electric atmosphere. Limited tickets to Red Bull X-Fighters are still available, starting at $69.00 (plus booking fee) including ferry transfers.
