July means two major things in 2012 that it did not mean in 2011–#1: on July 17th Nasir Jones‘ Life Is Good LP will hit you in the face like a blast of hot air off a Queens-bound express train. And #2: on July 23rd we will be marking the 1st anniversary of Amy Winehouse’s passing. So we could not really think of a better way to recognize the fact that life is beautiful and also bittersweet than with Terry Urban’s incredibly appropriate mix of incredibly dope music from both artists, together again on the concept-driven project he’s titled simply: Me & Mr. Jones. We present it here as an Okayplayer exclusive mixtape!
